Dubai City Tour
Your trip will start by driving through Al Garhoud Bridge, proceeding to Dubai creek with a photo stop from where you can capture Bur Dubai, Deira and traditional Dhow cruise wooden boats. Thereafter proceed to Dubai Museum which is home of the Al-Fahidi Fort, built in 1800 and considered to be one of the oldest building in Dubai. The fort was used to defend the town from warring tribes in the neighborhoods and also served many other purposes as the seat of Government, the ruler's residence, a store for ammunition, and a jail. The stop here will be for 30 minutes. Museum Opening times: 8:30am – 8:30pm Saturday to Thursday 2pm – 8:30pm on Friday
Your next stop will be Heritage and Diving village for a photo shoot. Here, you will find potters and weavers who display their craft. The village is situated just before the Al Shindagha Tunnel at the mouth of the Creek. Drive through Al Shindagha Tunnel and arrive at Dubai Gold Souq - the famous among all the Souks, where all the shops are blazing with the shine of gold ornaments and tempts one and all. Famous for its great bargains this is a shoppers paradise. The stop here will be for 30 minutes.
After your stop at gold paradise, walk down to Dubai Spice souk, famous for its spices, incenses and traditional medicines stacked along the narrow lanes. Its also called traders paradise with whole sellers flocking this market for bulk purchases. The stop here will be for 15 minutes.
We move to the other side of Dubai, through the Maktoum Bridge, driving by the famous Sheikh Zayed Road to arrive at Sheikh Mohammad's Palace in Zaabeel. The palace has been named after the late His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the first President of United Arab Emirates.
After a brief photo stop at the Palace, drive on to Jumeirah, the upmarket area of Dubai. En route we cross the mall of the Emirates, the world's first mall to have a inbuilt artificial ski resort, called Ski Dubai with indoor slopes and snow park. So you can now imagine how wonderful it would feel to be in snow, in the middle of the desert.
Proceed further and have a look at the upcoming projects in Dubai, the Dubai Marina and the Palm Jumeirah. This will bring us to Souk of Madinat Jumeirah, famous for Arabic artisans and crafts people showing their wares and do not forget to enjoy the street performers here. The stop here will be for 15 minutes. This point is also good for taking pictures of Burj Al Arab, the only 7 star hotel in United Arab Emirates.
We will end this tour with a stop at one of the most beautiful mosque in Dubai, called The Jumeirah Mosque. Its large central dome and twin minarest set it apart from other mosques. This is the only mosque in Dubai, which allows Non - Muslims to enter. You are expected to cover your arms and legs while entering it.
